NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College volleyball dropped its first set against Ellsworth Community College here Wednesday night, but came back to win three straight to take the match. The scores were 19-25, 26-24, 25-20, and 27-25.

Taryn Luedtke led the Hawks with 15 kills while Kelsey Shoemaker recorded 13. Courtni Kunz finished with one solo and one assist block; Mackenzie Wecker registered two ace serves and 26 digs and Bridget Schneider had 30 assists.

Northeast (7-4) will participate in the WYO-BRASKA Tournament in Torrington, Wyoming, on Friday, September 18, andSaturday, September 19. The Hawks will face Western Wyoming Community College in its opening match at 12-noonon Friday and then face Laramie County Community College at 2 p.m.
