Hallelujah

Music is beautifully created from anywhere and anything.

For Northeast student Kellen Sager, he creates his music on the piano. Not only can Sager play the piano but he is a genius with the guitar. Music has a different impact on everyone and should be enjoyed by others. Music is known for bringing serotonin throughout others and that’s exactly what Sager’s piece does.

“I am currently working on Hallelujah chorus,” Kellen Sager said. “I usually don’t get a chance to play classical music on the piano. Most of what I play is on my guitar.”

The ability to play an instrument is to be able todo two things at once, as well as being able to hear the other instruments or chorus throughout a piece is key to building beautiful music.

“Right now, the most difficult part about playing this piece is the syncopation of everything and playing with two hands separately then slowly combining them.” said Sager.

Piano is known for being extremely difficult. It can take years for someone to master this skill. Luckily, Northeast Community College has a rock star in the making.
