Hawks Win Convincingly On The Road Over State Fair Community College, 109-74

SEDALIA, MO – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team opened the second half of the season with a convincing 109-74 win over State Fair Community College here Monday night. The Hawks improve to 14-3.

After two lead changes and two ties in the first two minutes of the game, Northeast went on a 17-3 run to end the half with a 57-39 lead. Coming out of the locker room, the Hawks continued with a strong performance with an immediate 10-2 run enroute to the 35 point victory.

Jalen Bradley led ten Hawks’ players with 22 points. Chima Moneke finished with 18 points and Buay Tuach contributed 17 points and a team high nine rebounds. Other Northeast players in double figures include Boris Rajovic and LJ Westbrook with 12 and Peirre Conwell with 10. Kevin Metoyer had a team high seven assists.

As a team, Northeast shot 68 percent from the field and forced 22 State Fair turnovers.

Northeast has its final non-conference game on Thursday as it hosts the Midland University JV in the Cox Activities Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
