Mold a Growing Issue NE 0517R (REAL 0115/14S & CRN #70098) will be held Thursday, March 13, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Participants in this class will be presented with the various types of mold and where it is found. Those attending will see that not all molds are deadly and every home, new or used, has mold spores present. Agents will learn everything they have ever wanted to know about mold, its types, where it is found, EPA disclosures on mold, the health hazards, and how mold can even be used to benefit us in our everyday lives.
Avoiding Misrepresentation NE 0598R (REAL 0230/14S & CRN #70096) meets from 1-4 p.m. that afternoon.
Real estate agents need to know what to look for in each transaction to protect themselves and their buyers and sellers from misrepresentation. It is one of the most important professional services they can provide. In this class, participants will learn how to identify and avoid misrepresentation in the real estate transaction.
Fair Housing NE 0282R (REAL 0210/14S & CRN #70097) meets that evening from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
This class is an in depth study of Fair Housing Policies of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that is designed to help agents comply with the law and avoid legal pitfalls as it relates to advertising, representation, financing, and issues related to various segments of the population.
Each class, to be led by Mark Wehner, costs $40. All three classes will be held at Northeast Community College at the College Center, 1001 College Way, Room 126, in South Sioux City.
