NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College music department will present its Winter Concert on Sunday, February 16, at 2 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center.
Under the direction of Department Chair and Director of Choral Music Activities, Dr. Linda Boullion, the Northeast Concert Choir, Ebony and Crimson, Women’s Ensemble, and Men’s Ensemble will perform.
Vocal selections at the concert will include “I Am the River,” by Amy F. Bernon; “Passing By,” by Emily Crocker; “Under Winter Moon,” by Andy Beck; “Music Lead the Way!” by Laura Farnell; and “All Ye Who Music Love,” by B. Donato and edited by Norman Greyson.
Margaret Schultz is accompanist for the vocal groups.
The Northeast College/Community Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Randall Neuharth, music instructor/director of instrumental activities, will also perform. The concert band will entertain with “The Liberty Bell,” by John Phillip Sousa; “Saturn: The Ringed Planet,” by Rob Romeyn; “Overture for Winds,” by Charles Carter; and “Galop,” by Amilcare Ponchielli and arranged by Larry Daehn.
The concert is free and open to the public.
