COLUMBUS – Despite 13 lead changes and 14 ties, Central Community College went on to defeat Northeast Community College here Tuesday, 92-83. With the loss, the Hawks fall to 13-13 on the season.
Northeast struggled throughout the game, shooting just 38-percent from the field and was 10-for-20 from the free throw line.
The Hawks were led by Khapri Alston with 20 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds. Other Hawks in double figures were: Jabbar Washington with 18, and Sheed Fairley, Buay Tuach, and Anthony Woods with 10 apiece.
Northeast continues conference play this Saturday as it takes on Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
