NORFOLK – All eleven members of the Northeast Community College volleyball team have earned post season academic honors.

The players have been named to the Fall 2013 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI Academic All-Region Teams. Northeast is a member of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

Members of the Northeast volleyball team named to the Academic 1^st Team All-Region include: Kennedy Cheyney, Stanton; Maggie Earney, Whitney; Grace Ecklund, Overton; Kirsten Fink, Randolph; Sydney Luedtke, Creston; Sarah Maxson, Wayne; Brittany Sullivan, Allen; and Emily Wilmes, Dakota City.

Those members named to the Academic 2^nd Team All-Region include: Haley Roelle, Creston; Nazya Thies, Winside; and Shelby Weber, Atkinson.

To be named to the 1^st Team All-Region, the student-athlete must have earned a 3.5 and above grade point average (GPA). To be named to the 2^nd Team All-Region Team, the student-athlete must have earned a 3.0-3.49 (GPA).
