Northeast men fall to Southeast 85-62

BEATRICE, NE – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team could not overcome hot shooting from behind the arc by Southeast Community College and fell to the Storm 85-62 Wednesday in Beatrice.
The Hawks controlled second-chance points, however, Southeast scored 45 points from three-point range compared to nine by the visitors. Northeast tallied 29 points from the line, shooting 88-percent from the charity stripe.
Steve Wooten had another strong performance in leading the Hawks. He had a double-double, 31 points, 18 rebounds, and two assists. Jaquan Sanders added 12 points and three assists. Allen Anderson recorded nine points and four rebounds on the night.
The Hawks (13-14) will be back in action this Saturday when it travels to Ottumwa, IA, to take on Indian Hills Community College at 7 p.m.
