Opportunities for Summer Jobs at Northeast
September 19, 2017
Northeast Community College students who stay on campus all summer have the chance to work for the college, one of those jobs happens to be cleaning the dorms. Alexis Buol, a custodian at Northeast, along with a number of students cleans the Path Hall Building. Buol says she likes to clean and help college students, who she also supervises.
The job consists of cleaning dorm rooms, deep cleaning, shampooing carpets and furniture, cleaning microwaves, cupboards and counters. She says the full time college staff could not get everything done without the team of students working for the campus. “It went really well. We were ahead of schedule, got everything done and some extra stuff done,” said Buol about the summer, 2017 season.
The job is open for all students so if you want to apply, you can go to the Northeast website under the Employment section and follow the instructions. For more specific information, students can visit the Residence Halls and talk to Pete Rizzo, Director of Residence Life and Food Service. Buol says the job starts one week after school ends, and finishes one week before school starts.
