People Need People- Suicide Prevention Week

Viewpoint staff

The Student Activities Council (SAC) toured through the Northeast campus Tuesday, September 12, 2017 educating students on the importance of Suicide Prevention Week. They also encouraged students to be engaged and reach out to others who are dealing with the same struggles. They spoke very compassionately on this sensitive topic; suicide is a very real issue for many people, especial young adults. This subject matter has affected many students on a personal level.

Suicide Prevention Day

To help raise awareness, SAC handed out many items for students, including: shirts, car chargers, magnet clips, bracelets, and hair ties. The items were all linked to organizations that help prevent suicide and have useful information for students who are interested or in need of further assistance.
