December 5, 2016
The presentation of the Freedom Soars quilt will be held Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Home, 600 E Benjamin Ave., in Norfolk, Nebraska.
This Dec. 7 marks the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. This year “In remembrance of the fallen and all those soldiers who have remembered The Salvation Army in their estate plans, we want to give something back,” said Diane K. Moore, Planned Giving Associate with The Salvation Army.
After 60 hours of cutting, stitching, designing and quilting, the quilt of valor known as ‘Freedom Soars’ will be presented for permanent display to the residents of the Nebraska Veterans Home.
The public is invited and refreshments will be provided.
