The ladies of the 2016-2017 Hawks Women’s basketball team are preparing for their upcoming season. They have been practicing hard over the past three weeks in order to reach their goal of a second consecutive district championship. Head Coach Matt Svehla and the women of the Northeast Community College basketball team have begun preparation for the 2016-17 season. They practice in the Cox Activities Center every day for around 2 and a half hours. The ladies are working on developing growth both in personal areas and as a team. They know expectations are high as they are coming off of a great season last year in which they won a district championship. The first home game is November 8 against Concordia University in the Cox Activities Center at 6 PM.
