Northeast Defeats Southeast 90-78

NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team picked up a much needed win here Monday by downing Southeast Community College 90-78. It was the first win for the 13-9 Hawks in its last five games.
Marty Hill led five Northeast players in double figures with 26 points. Kevin Metoyer and Jalen Mobley finished with 17 points each, Vance Johnson had 14 points and Earvin Perroni had 10. Elsewhere, Matthew Wingett had nine, Peirre Conwell, seven and Deon Whiteside, four.
Snyder Cenecharies led Southeast with 17.
The Hawks will host Central Community College (13-10) on Wednesday in the Cox Activities Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk. Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
