The Big Bad Wolf On Trial?

In this scene The Three Little Pigs, prepare to testify next to Judge wise old man ( Kat Stuthman)

What do you get when you combine a little old man, a Fairy Godmother, little red riding hood, the three little pigs,  and the big bad wolf? Well in this case you get a Northeast Players production of Big Bad, performed by members of the Norfolk Junior High School’s Aftershock Drama Club and students from Northeast Community College. Big Bad, a play by Alec Strum , introduces you to various fairytale characters during the trial of the Big Bad Wolf. In this trial the Big Bad Wolf is represented by Cinderella’s evil step-mother and cross examined by the Fairy Godmother in front of a jury of his peers, who just happens to be the audience.

This production was made possible by a cooperation between the Norfolk Jr. High School, and members of the Northeast Players Drama club. Patrick Brown, stated that he taught an Improvisation (Improv) class, and from that the play emerged. Kat Stuthman, and Katie Brichacek joined with Brown to recruit and direct Big Bad. With a cast of only seven, Jr. High students and the three Northeast students, they have the challenge of playing more than one roll, and they rise to the occasion. The play will have one performance on Friday May 15 at 7 p.m.with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. So come on out and cheer on these creative students.
