COLUMBUS – The Northeast Community College golf team defeated Central Community College in a dual at the Elks Country Club here Wednesday, 302-349.

For the Hawks, Justin Bruntz led the way with a one-under, 71. Michael Bergquist finished with a 75, Conner Watson, 77, Preston Peters, 79 and Michael Brockhaus, 84.

Other scores for Northeast include Dalton Lammers, 75, Lucas Bradfield, 81, Trever Miller, 83, Corby Forbes, 85, Alex Dredge, 87, Stephen Grand Pre, 89, Gage Garnas, 90 and Trevor Reiss, 101.

Central was led by Kolton Wederquist’s 86.

The Hawks will host the Northeast Invitational on Sunday at Fairplay Golf Course in Norfolk beginning at 1 p.m.
