NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team has moved up in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Top 25 poll. The Hawks (22-4) climbed three positions today to #20.

Meanwhile, the Northeast men’s team (21-5) received votes this week and is just outside the Division I Top 25 poll. This comes after the Hawks knocked off previously #22 Southeastern Community College in a road contest, 62-53. Southeastern dropped out of this week’s poll.

Both Northeast teams will be in action on Thursday as they host the Morningside JV in the Cox Activities Center on the Northeast campus here. The women’s game begins at 6 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 8 p.m.
