You Mad Bro Part II??

You Mad Bro Part II??

William Bates Jr

For anyone who follows NFL football, knows why the saying(You Mad Bro?) has so much meaning behind it going into the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots  Feb 1, 2015  5:30 p.m. on NBC.

After a Seattle Seahawks 24-23 victory against the New England Patriots on Oct. 14, 2012, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, approached Tom Brady with a little bit of “trash talk” or whatever he does to get inside of an opponents head.

According to Sherman, Brady called him and teammate Earl Thomas a“nobody” during the game. He also told Sherman and Thomas to see him afterwards. According to NFL.com,  Richard Sherman said, “He told me and Earl to see him after the game when they win….. I found him after.”  Tom Brady responded,  “I don’t recall saying anything to him (Sherman) during the game..I guess.”

Tom Brady press conference
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady speaks to the media at a press conference at Gillette Stadium on Thursday. Jan. 22, 2015. The press conference centered around the fact that 11 of 12 Patriot game balls were under-inflated according to NFL rules during the first half of Sunday’s AFC Championship victory over the Colts. This incident had Tom Brady pretty upset, and gave him a little bit of an urge to dislike Sherman. Later that week, Sherman would post pictures of him and Brady after the game, with the caption “You Mad Bro”? It almost became comedy. Sherman would promote “You Mad Bro? T-shirts on twitter, and the rest is history.

Enough of  the small talk with the Brady versus Sherman show.  Come February 1, 2015, there is much more on the line in Glendale, Arizona, the big stage, show-time, the “granddaddy of them all.”  SUPER BOWL XLIX.  This could be a classic matchup between two teams who are both #1 seeds in the playoffs. This will be one for the ages, as Tom Brady will be seeking to win another Super Bowl to add to his legacy, with a hot offense who has found a rhythm and clicking on all cylinders.

Then you have the defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks,  a young talented team, with a hungry and hard hitting defense. They intend to prove everyone wrong who doubted them.  This game will have everyone on the edge of their seats from kick-off, until the game clock  reads  zero.

If Seattle wins,  does Sherman hit Brady with the famous line “You Mad Bro?”, or does  Tom Brady respond with a victory and reverses the question to Sherman.? Guess we’ll just have to tune in and watch the Super Bowl to find the answer.
