MCCOOK – The Northeast Community College volleyball team picked up its second win in as many days Saturday. The Hawks beat McCook Community College here in four sets, 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20 to improve to 14-7.

Northeast had a solid team performance from Taryn Luedtke, Brittany Sullivan and Grace Ecklund who had 14, 13, and 12 kills respectively. Maggie Earney had 39 assists and 12 digs.

Also for the Hawks, Meagan Backer contributed 27 digs while Sullivan finished with 26, and Kelsie Myers had 15. Sydney Whitmarsh had five ace serves and Grace Ecklund had on solo and three assist blocks.

Northeast will host Central Community College on Wednesday, October 8 at 7p.m. in the Cox Activities Center on the Norfolk campus.
