Hawks Down Southeast In Four Sets

NORFOLK – Northeast Community College won the opening two sets of its match Tuesday night against Southeast Community College here, but the Hawks needed two more sets to seal the victory.

The scores were 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 29-27.

Brittany Sullivan led Northeast with seven kills, 25 digs and one ace serve. Taryn Luedtke also had seven kills. Megan Backer had 26 digs, Grace Ecklund finished with one solo and two assist blocks, Kelsie Myers and Sydney Whitmarsh had one ace serve each, and Maggie Earney recorded 32 assists.

The Hawks travel to Creston, IA on Wednesday to take on Southwest Iowa Community College. The match begins at 6:30 p.m.
