Northeast Community College To Offer Free GED Practice Tests For A Limited Time

NORFOLK – Northeast Community College will provide an opportunity for students who have an interest in taking the General Education Development (GED®) test.

For a limited time only, the College’s Adult Education Department will sponsor free GED practice tests to all interested students from Monday, September 22 through Wednesday, October 1. The tests will be available in the Northeast Community College Adult Education Department in the Maclay building on the Norfolk campus; at Northeast’s Extended Campus in O’Neill, at 409 East Adams Street; and at the South Sioux City Public Library, at 2014 West 21st Street.

Emily Duncan, adult education coordinator at Northeast, said this opportunity will provide students interested in taking the GED Ready Practice Test information to see if they are prepared to pass the regular GED test, discover if they have the skills they need to pass the regular test, and get a personalized study plan detailing pages and chapters to study in their preferred study books.

“This is a golden opportunity for students to determine where they stand academically prior to paying the $30 per test GED testing fee,” Duncan said. “Students may also learn about classes and other resources to help them prepare for the GED test.”

Pre-registration is required to take the GED Ready Practice test. To schedule a time or to learn more about the test, contact Duncan at (402) 844-7253 or Nancy Schultz, director of adult education at Northeast, at (402) 844-7254.
