Northeast Golf Team Competes At Dakota Wesleyan Tournament

MITCHELL, SD – The Northeast Community College golf team finished ninth in the two-day Palace City Classic, hosted by Dakota Wesleyan University here Friday and Saturday. Northeast was the only junior college team in the 16 team field.

Dakota Wesleyan won the event with a two-day total of 601. The Hawks finished with a 624.

Individually, Mac Young of Dakota Wesleyan was medalist after carding a 147. For Northeast, Conner Watson finished with 153; Preston Peters shot 156; Michael Bergquist had 158; and Alex Dredge and Michael Brockhaus each shot 159.

The Hawks will be off until Sunday, Sept. 21 when it takes part in the Iowa Central Community College Ryder Cup at Ft. Dodge Country Club in Ft. Dodge, IA.
