NORFOLK – A Norfolk girl has signed to play volleyball this fall at Northeast Community College. Morgan Uhlir, who played at Lutheran High Northeast, is the sixth recruit signed this year by Hawks Coach Amanda Schultze.
In 2013, Uhlir had 258 kills, had a .281 hitting percentage, and recorded 35 aces, 149 digs and 22 blocks for the Eagles. In the previous year, she recorded 211 kills, had a .256 hitting percentage, and had 35 aces, 149 digs, and 22 blocks. She also helped lead her team to the Nebraska Class C2 State Volleyball Tournament the past two years.
“We are very excited to add Morgan to our roster and equally excited to have a local player as well,” said Schultze.
Other players who have signed this year to play at Northeast during the 2014-15 season include Meagan Backer, Wayne, Kiara Lopez, Schuyler, Taryn Luedtke, Creston, Whitney Valasek, Palmer, and Kelsie Myers, a transfer student at Wayne State College, from Broken Bow.
