WISNER – A three-year letter winner at Wisner-Pilger High School has signed with Northeast Community College to play golf beginning this fall.
Lucas Bradfield, Beemer, has played for the Gators for the past three years and is looking forward to his senior season this spring. “Lucas is a very talented young man and I am thrilled that he is going to be a Hawks’ golfer next fall,” said Brad Bosh, Northeast coach.
Bradfield tied for 13th at the 2013 Class C Nebraska State Golf Tournament at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln. He also participated in the state tournament in 2012. At district meets at Indian Trails Country Club in Beemer, he took tenth in his sophomore year and placed third this past year. At conference meets, Bradfield was fifth in his sophomore year and took first place honors during his junior year.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Golf team is preparing for the spring season. The first tournament is the Swede Invitational in Salina and McPherson, KS, on March 3-4.
