COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team started slow and could not find its footing in a loss Wednesday night here to #9 Iowa Western Community College, 94-66.
The Hawks shot 17 percent from the field in the first half and only managed to make six field goals before intermission. Northeast drops to13-7.
Three Hawks scored in double figures, Khapri Alston with 14, Buay Tuach with 12, and Jabbar Washington with 10.
Northeast takes on Marshalltown Community College at home at the Cox Activities Center this Saturday as part of a women’s-men’s doubleheader. The women’s game will tip-off at 5 p.m. while the men play at 7 p.m.
