NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team used sharp shooting in overpowering the Dordt College Junior Varsity in a 97-61 win here Tuesday night.
The Hawks shot 57 percent from the field and forced 17 Defender turnovers in the win. Northeast is now 7-3 on the season.
Sheed Fairley recorded a double-double for Northeast, scoring 18 points and bringing down 10 rebounds. Also for the Hawks, Jabbar Washington and Buay Tuach each finished with 16 points and Anthony Woods had 10.
The Hawks will be in action on Friday as the team plays Cloud County Community College at the Iowa Western Community College Classic. Tip-off is set of for 3:00 p.m. on the campus of Iowa Western in Council Bluffs, IA.
