Dr. Michael Chipps, president of Northeast Community College, was the featured speaker during a Veterans Day program Monday at the College. He retired as major in the U.S. Amy Reserve in 1995. Chipps spoke of the military service of those he led and served. “And I am here to report than most of those lives were altered as some have laid down their lives for us, some have become great leaders, some have gone on to do outstanding things; to have wonderful families, and to be great contributors to the American way of life,” he said.
