NORFOLK – The Southwestern (Iowa) Community College Spartans defeated the Northeast Community College volleyball team Wednesday night in three sets at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
The scores were 26-24, 25-15, and 25-17.
The Hawks were led by Shelby Weber’s eleven kills, Brittany Sullivan’s 18 digs and Maggie Earney’s 29 assists. Also for Northeast, Nazya Thies and Kennedy Cheyney had two ace serves each while Kirsten Fink and Grace Ecklund each had one block shots.
The loss drops Northeast’s record to 11-9.
The Hawks will next take on Southeast Community College in the Cox Activities Center on the Norfolk campus on Wednesday, October 2, at 7 p.m.
