The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team lost to Iowa Western Community College 83-67 on Saturday.
Iowa Western built up a strong lead in the first half by making 7 of 17 three-pointers in their half-court offense. Devin Brooks helped carry Iowa Western with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Tavian Pomlee also chipped in 26 points, including 5 three point shots.
Northeast tried to rally back in the second half, but Iowa Western used a superior frontcourt to outrebound Northeast 55-43. KJ Bluford led Northeast with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Khapri Alston contributed 13 points and six rebounds at the center position.
