Northeast Community College has proven its support for military students, as it has been named to the 2013 Military Friendly Schools® list.
This list complies the top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools in the nation that offer outstanding support, encouragement, and resources for students who are currently in the military or are transitioning from military to civilian life.
Military personnel can access this list at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com to browse the 1,739 colleges listed.
All of these schools offer exceptional education and student support. It features interactive tools and search functionality to help military students discover schools to meet their personal interests and needs.
“We are again honored to be designated a Military Friendly college. We know the transition from the military to civilian life is not an easy transition. Add to that the stresses of enrolling and succeeding in college, and our veterans may feel overwhelmed at times.” Dr. Karen Severson, Northeast’s vice president of student services said.
Education is gaining more and more interest everyday in the military community, and Northeast is proud to provide for those who have provided us with a sense of freedom and safety.
James McAllister, Business, Battle Creek, a member of the United States Army, said that his military experience has affected his experience as a student by allowing him to adapt to new situations.
Northeast will continue to offer support and education to military personnel, along with its other students.
