Shortly after the concert at the Norfolk Divots Event Center Sunday night, Mark Abrahamian, lead guitarist of the band “Starship”, died suddenly after finishing the concert.

Abrahamian told a fellow band member he was feeling ill and then retired to his room for the night. While on the phone with his fiancé he reportedly collapsed.

Abrahamian was found unconscious and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. It has been reported that he had previous conversations with his fiancé about having chest pains for quite some time.

Funeral arrangements were not available at the time, and an official autopsy was not performed, but due to previous chest pain complaints, the cause of death appears to be from a heart attack.
