O’Neill, Atkinson, and surrounding cities are all coming together to mourn the loss of a young woman. Just before midnight on Friday night, the Boyd/Holt E911 dispatch center got a call about a one vehicle rollover fives and a half miles west of Highway 281. The driver, Tressa Wright, was partially ejected and died as the result of her injuries.
Tressa went to Atkinson Public School before transferring to O’Neill where she was finishing her senior year. Throughout high school, she participated in cross country, track, gold and FCCLA. After high school, Tressa wanted to become a psychologist or person who studied the brain. She was the type of person who was fascinated with how the brain worked and why people thought what they did. Tress loved life, even as a baby. She was always on the move. She also loved music, being with friends, driving around and doing people’s makeup.
Tressa’s mother, Kim Wright, wants people to remember her daughter as the sweet, strong-minded, beautiful girl that would do anything for her friends.
Tressa’s visitation is being held on Wednesday, January 25 from 5 to 8 PM at the Seger Funural Home in Atkinson, NE with a 7 PM Prayer Service. The funeral will be on Thursday, January 26 at 10 AM in the Faith Wesleyan Church in Atkinson.
She will be greatly missed.
