The other day I was watching the TV the other day and the channel that it was on was the Disney channel. The shows have changed so much from when I was a kid. Back then the shows were actually funny. Now they’re just weird. The show had a scene about some kids at a dog show and one of them was at a dog show and he dressed up his cat like a dog. The weird thing was that the judge went along with it and he was a really cheesy actor. What has become of Disney shows. When they had cartoons it was way more entertaining. What happened to shows like “Bear in the Big Blue House”, “Bill Nye the Science Guy”,and “Evens Stevens”. Back in the 90’s and early 2000’s the TV shows were actually educational.
Now the TV show are apparently purely for entertainment purposes. New TV programs are not exiting and as interesting as old ones for two main reasons. The first is that they do not have a strong of a plot as before. The second reason is that they are not humorous when they try to be.
Shows like “Bill Nye the Science Guy” were more captivating because not only did it have a set plot but it also encouraged involvement and made you learn. Now a days TV shows for kids are just plain weird and do not really follow a set plot or story line. The show I was watching had alone about three story lines. I am guessing that if you are not a big fan of the show, or have seen the previous episodes, you will probably not understand what is going on.
How many of you remember the show “Even Stevens”? Was that not actually a funny show? I am not sure if the cartoons and programs now are supposed to be funny or if they are just meant to be weird. Most programs are confusing because I am not sure if they are meant to be funny or not. The story lines that are on the programs do not make sense at all together.
I am not sure if it is just me or do more people want shows from our childhood back on air. TV shows are not supposed to be only about how popular the stars are but about how interesting, educative, and how involved you are with whats going on.
