David Guetta is an artist much like Jay-Z, Pitbull, and a few others who make their living as artists who collaborate with others.
That said, Nothing but the Beat is an example of how one man can gather the best and the brightest from the music business to create one massive 10-plus track album.
Nothing But the Beat features music with help from many artists, including Nicki Manaj, Flo Rida, Taio Cruz, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, will.i.am, Usher, Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne, Akon, Afrojack, Dev, Timbaland, Jennifer Hudson, Sia, Jessie J and Crystal Nicole.
This CD kicks off with dance music, in the form of “Where Them Girls At,” “Little Bad Girl,” and “Turn Me On.” After kicking off the party, the CD slows down with “Sweat,” “Without You,” “Nothing Really Matters” and “I Can Only Imagine.” The BPM picks up a bit after that with “Crank It Up,” “I Just Wanna F.” and “Night of Your Life.” He finishes out the CD with mellow sounds again “Repeat,” “Titanium” and the iTunes exclusive track, “I’m a Machine.”
There are a few different versions of the album to be sampled, with a vocal version, an electronic version and a Deluxe edition. Each sampling gives a few different mixes of the many songs and artists he works with and each is a must-have for any person who mixes music for parties and wants to keep the floor pumping.
