Mumps Cases On The Rise

LINCOLN-  The number of mumps cases is on the rise in Lancaster County.  The Lancaster County Health Department says nine mumps cases have been reported since September.  Three of the cases have been confirmed, but officials have not said if the cases are related to an outbreak of at least 30 cases in northeast Nebraska.  Mumps is spread through coughing, sneezing and saliva.
