Northeast Community College has planned a multi-year comparison on our college farm to collect data on water management to optimize crop yield and minimize water and energy usage. The CROP-IT solution collects data on the benefits of soil moisture monitoring systems to regulate irrigation equipment. Due to feedback from CropMetrics, we were able to irrigate more efficiently by gathering real time data of soil moisture, as compared to the traditional method where moisture data was unavailable.
