Attention all Northeast students!
Submissions wanted!
Northeast Community College has been publishing students’ stories and art for over 40 years. “Voices out of Nowhere” is a compilation of student work: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, artwork, and photography.
A student can submit anything he or she wants published and the first and second place winners get a monetary prize. “Voices out of Nowhere” is published once a year in the spring and all a student has to do is complete the work and get it to Bonnie Johnson-Bartee by way of e-mail or hardcopy. Mrs. Johnson-Bartee’s e-mail address is [email protected] and her office number is 245 in the Allied Health building. You can hand her your work directly or slide it under the door if she is not there. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, March 20 by 1 P.M. “Usually people don’t submit a lot of art,” Mrs. Johnson-Bartee said. That confuses her because “what better way to be noticed”. Submitting your work doesn’t cost you anything so, really, why not send it in?
