Do you want to learn how to be a leader? Do you want to have a say in what goes on at Northeast Community College? If you do, the Student Government Association (SGA) is the right student group for you. Right now, there are three positions that need to be filled: President, Vice President, and Secretary. Being a full-time student and maintaining a 2.5 GPA are the only requirements for SGA and the applications are due by February 13th. Having half of the tuition paid for all officers for the first eighteen credits is one benefit of joining the SGA. Also, if any students on campus have any questions, the SGA are the ones to ask. One does not really have to worry about not being able to fit it into a schedule because the time and day of meetings depends on everyone’s schedules and right now they are on Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. The students on campus are able to vote once for who they want to be in the positions but the advisors have to approve the people chosen for the positions. If you want to be the voice of the students on campus, make sure to fill out an application. The application can be found outside the game room in the Student Center or ask and SGA member.

About: I grew up on a farm and attended Verdigre Public School. I was on the Yearbook staff in my senior year of high school and am now on my second year of journalism in college. I am a book fan, not a sports fan and I am very quiet. I am so quiet, people usually forget that I'm in the room. I'm really excited to finish my final year of school, but I still don't know what I'm going to do after I graduate.
