Suspect Accused Of Striking Officer With Car

LINCOLN–A man is accused of striking a Lincoln police officer with his car.  Thirty-six-year-old Kirt Pelowski allegedly struck a police officer with his car as he sped out of a parking stall near 32nd and Huntington streets early Sunday morning.  The officer suffered minor injuries, and Pelowski’s car was later found abandoned after a hit-and-run crash near 33rd Street and Cornhusker Highway.  Pelowski was arrested yesterday and booked for second-degree assault on a police officer and willful reckless driving.
