BEEMER, Neb. – On a cold and rainy Saturday, the Northeast Community College men’s golf team finished in second-place at the Midland Open with a team score of 319 at Indian Trails Country Club in Beemer, Neb.

Leading the way for the Hawks was Hunter Deines, finishing in a tie for seventh place after shooting a 78. Matthews Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) and Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) tied for 19th-place, respectively, with an 80. Kingston hit a hole-in-one on hole No. 2, par three.

Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) shot an 81 and Dawson Sundsted (Spearfish, S.D.) finished with an 85.

The Hawks return home for a dual against Central Community College at 1:30 p.m., Thursday at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk.
