WEST BURLINGTON, IA – The Northeast Community College volleyball team defeated Southeastern Community College in four sets here Wednesday, 29-27, 25-8, 22-25 and 25-12.

Hawks Coach Amanda Schultze said her team played unevenly from set to set.

“Overall it was a good night, but we definitely sat on our heels in the first and third sets. We made a lot of errors, and in the third set, could not recover from those. In the second and fourth sets, we played very well and made minimal errors.”

Courtni Kunz led Northeast in kills with 13, and Macy Stewart recorded 11. Taylor Lammers had two assist blocks, and Tabitha Kander had two ace serves. Jordan Vogt led assists with 42, while Mackenzie Wecker finished with four assists and a team-high 25 digs.

Northeast (24-11) will face Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA, tonight in their final game of the regular season. Game time is 7 p.m.
