NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team has landed a Minnesota high school standout.

Allen Anderson is a 6’ point guard from Osseo High School in Osseo.

Anderson averaged 12 points and six assists this past season and helped lead the 30-2 Orioles to a fourth place finish in Minnesota Class 4A State Basketball Tournament in March. He was named to the All-Tournament Team. Anderson was also one of 40 outstanding senior boys’ basketball players in the state to play in the 34th annual Minnesota High School All-Star Basketball Series in early April.

Dan Anderson, Northeast coach, said he’s pleased to have Anderson join the program.

“Allen is a smooth and athletic point guard. He is capable of getting baskets at any time because he has such a high skill level and can score from anywhere on the court.”

Anderson will be the third recruit with ties to Minnesota to join the Hawks next season. Other signees include Kyle McKinley, a University at Albany (NY) transfer from Stillwater, MN, Calvin Harrington, a  Bemidji State University (MN) transfer from Park Forest, IL, and Majok Kur, who has played at Mitchell Christian School in Mitchell, SD, from South Sudan.
