NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team fell to 6-4 after a 102-92 loss to Mineral Area Community College (MO) on day one of the Hawks Thanksgiving Classic Friday here.
Peirre Conwell led the Hawks with 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal. Jalen Mobley finished with 20 points and four rebounds. Milan Skundric had eleven points, Vance Johnson, ten; Kevin Metoyer and Marty Hill, eight; Deon Whiteside, six; Earvin Perroni, five; and Trevon Moody, three.
Daniel Norl led the Cardinals with 19 points.
In the other game on Friday, Iowa Western defeated Quakerdale Prep (IA) 88-62
Northeast will face Quakerdale Prep on day two of the Classic on Saturday in the Cox Activities Center on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m. In the 2 p.m. game, Iowa Western will face Mineral Area Community College.
