ANKENY, IA – The Northeast Community College golf team finished fourth at the Iowa Central Community College Invitational at Otter Creek Golf Club here.

The Hawks shot a two-day total of 615. Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) won the event with a 598. Kirkwood Community College was second, followed by Waldorf College, Northeast, Iowa Lakes, North Iowa, Iowa Central, Ellsworth and Hawkeye.

Individually, Hunter Van Veen of DMACC shot another round of 70 to finish with a two-day total of 140 to take medalist honors.

Foe Northeast, Michael Bergquist, Preston Peters and Conner Watson finished with 153 while Michael Brockhaus and Justin Bruntz shot 158. On Friday, the Hawks’ Alex Dredge, competing as an individual, shot a 78.

Northeast’s next tournament is the AIB Invitational at Panorama Golf Club in Panora, IA, April 19-20.
