NORFOLK – Coming off its 55-53 win over previous #8 Iowa Western Community College last week, the Northeast Community College women’s basketball team has entered the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Top 25.

The Hawks (20-4) are ranked #23 in this week’s poll. Last week’s win over the Reivers also earned Hawks Coach Matt Svehla his 500th career win in leading the program.

Both of the Northeast Community College’s basketball team will be in action tonight as they host Central Community College. The women’s game begins at 6 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at
8 p.m. The contests will take place in the Cox Activities Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.
