NORFOLK – Over 3000 Norfolk residents found themselves in the dark Tuesday morning. Jeanne Schieffer says a substation issue caused the outage.
Schieffer: “The power outage up in Norfolk on the east side of town affected about 3300 customers. The power went out about 10:53. As of this time it’s back on. Our crews investigated and found that it was from equipment failure related to our transformer near our substation.”
The outage affected stoplights along 1st Street and cut power to Norfolk High School. The power was restored just before noon.
