Watching the stars in the night sky

We’re laying here, just you and I

Holding, trembling, not from cold

From a feeling deep but not yet old

A new spark to begin our time

I ask for your hand, and you don’t mind

We laugh, we talk, we huddle close

In the grass that leans above us both

Time slows down, a shooting star

So many light years from where we are

I look at you, we shared one wish

And then we shared our first real kiss
