WEST POINT – Northeast Community College in West Point will offer three Microsoft Office classes later this month.
QuickBooks 2012, Level 1 (ACCT0100/CRN 70043) will be held Tuesday, February 18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This course covers the basics of setting up a company; creating customers; receiving payments; and making deposits into bank accounts. Instructor Diann Ballard will assist participants to create and edit a chart of accounts for their company, run reports, reconcile bank accounts and more.
QuickBooks 2012, Level II (ACCT0200/CRN 70044) will be offered Tuesday, February 25, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This course covers creating inventory, dealing with items, and adjusting inventory counts on a continual basis. Class participants will learn about sales tax and sales tax groups, paying sales tax, running payroll, and paying payroll liabilities. Ballard will explain how to create capital assets and utilize the Loan Manager, creating an amortization schedule. Bad debt and creating journal entries will also be covered.
Cost of each of the QuickBooks classes in $60.
Microsoft Word 2013, Level I, (INFO0135/CRN 70045) will be held Tuesdays, February 24-March 5 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Students in this class will learn the essentials of MS Word and word processing. This class will show how to create, navigate, and save documents, apply character and paragraph formatting, insert symbols, and create headers and footers. Instructor Lisa Hunke will also demonstrate how to check spelling and grammar, add page breaks, work with document views, and learn how to print and convert documents to PDF. Adding graphics and clip art will also be covered.
Cost of the class is $46.
All three classes will be held in Room 207 at the Northeast Community College campus in West Point, 202 Anna Stalp Avenue.
