CRESTON, IA – The season has come to an end for the Northeast Community College volleyball team.
The Hawks were eliminated from post season play Tuesday by Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA, in the opening round of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Region XI-B bracket Tournament. The scores were 25-9, 25-15, and 25-17.
For the Hawks, Nazya Thies recorded six kills, Kennedy Cheyney had eight digs, Maggie Earney finished with 16 assists, Sydney Luedtke had one solo block, and Kirsten Fink and Shelby Weber had one ace serve each.
Northeast finishes the season with a record of 15-21. This was the first season of volleyball at Northeast since the sport was reinstated after a ten-year absence.
