Even though I am a relative newcomer to the Defiance franchise, the video game version for the Xbox 360 Kinect is a great buy for the avid video gamer.

The television series follows the hero who lives on an Earth inhabited mostly by aliens. The video game does a great job following the story to keep the gamer interested. It is strictly a third-person shooter game using futuristic weaponry. You are also allowed to drive different vehicles during the game.

For those who don’t know, the Kinect version of the Xbox 360 console uses motion-sensing software to guide the gamer wirelessly during gameplay. This being said, the game isn’t as physically taxing as other games for the Xbox Kinect will do sometimes; I found it very easy to play.

marin1-fullGraphics in the game are excellent, with darker colors that are easier on the eyes. The flow of the game was also very natural, and there weren’t many times during the game when it would freeze or load at a slow pace.

Defiance is definitely a game everyone should at least try out once, especially if you are a fan of the Kinect system. I would even recommend trying the game with a regular console system with the controllers.

Defiance is a great pickup for any fans of shooter games or the Defiance series.
