28 year old, Robert Joseph Thomas, was arrested September 6, 2012 in connection with a robbery that occurred in South Sioux City, NE in late July.

Police say Thomas entered the Bank of the West  located at 1001 Dakota Ave. in South Sioux City, and demanded money from employees threatening them saying he was armed.

Thomas then fled on foot and escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

Through a joint investigation with South Sioux City Police and Marshalltown Police, authorities were able to catch Thomas and charge him with robbery.

Thomas is currently being held and awaiting trial in Marshalltown, IA.
